In April, SOLO Independencia will open Barjola, an apocryphal portrait, an exhibition celebrating the legacy of the Spanish artist Juan Barjola. Developed in collaboration with his family, the show brings together over 30 oil paintings and drawings by the artist, presented in dialogue with artists from the Colección SOLO working in diverse media such as sculpture and artificial intelligence. A key figure in new figuration, Barjola has been a major influence on SOLO’s creative identity. This exhibition invites us to rediscover his work through a contemporary lens
